We have franchised a BA Top-Up in Business Management from Bucks New University (BNU) which commenced on 17th February 2018. This venture provides us with the opportunity to target a wider market which will help us to combat the current crisis in the UK education sector.
Our plan is to ensure that we can provide a progression route for HND students; we expect that this will enable them to access higher levels of employment or entrepreneurial opportunities which may not be possible with HNDs. Additionally, the programme helps to provide students with the assurance that we are able to give them a complete qualification as a continuation of the work they have done on their HNDs. This ties in well with the general expectations of the higher education sector where progression routes for students are considered as a key measure of success.
In the near future, we anticipate that we will increase the number of programmes being offered to our students by BNU and as such, we are currently exploring different ventures so that we can cope with the demands and expectations of our current and potential students.
Meeting our students’ needs
The BNU Programme is currently delivered at our Kingsbury site. The course is delivered with students’ needs in mind and provides them with the opportunity to choose between a weekday timetable and an evening / weekend timetable. Our plan is to deliver the programme on a two-intake pattern after the start of the new academic year (2017/19).
Academic staff and administrative staff are working closely with the team at BNU so that the programme delivery is standardised as expected by regulatory bodies.
