Student Development at Regent

Regent’s student development programme, SCOPE, helps students to maximise their academic, personal, and professional learning and development. Sessions take place weekly and are free to attend to any students wishing to take part. They are a fantastic way to develop critical thinking, learn valuable skills and build positive networks – supplementing your academic studies whilst enriching your personal growth and elevating your career prospects. We encourage students to take advantage of as many sessions as possible.

Guest speaker series

We regularly invite inspirational guest speakers from the public, private and charity sectors to share their life stories, career highlights and personal achievements. Drawing on a wealth of experience, these engaging, and often thought-provoking talks provide students with valuable new perspectives, as well as up to date information, advice, and guidance to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.

SCOPE is Regent College’s exclusive enrichment programme that helps students to maximise their academic, personal, and professional learning and development. The acronym, SCOPE stands for Success, Character, Opportunity, Progress, Enhancement.

Yes. SCOPE sessions are free and open to all Regent College London students.

No. SCOPE sessions are non-assessed and completely optional. However, we strongly encourage our students to take part in as many SCOPE activities as possible. They are a fantastic way to develop critical thinking, learn valuable skills and build positive networks – enhancing your academic studies whilst enriching your personal growth and elevating your career prospects.

Delivered via MS Teams, the programme of webinars, workshops, inspirational talks, and engaging activities is continually updated to meet students’ diverse needs and interests. Sessions are promoted regularly, and students are sent weekly reminders about forthcoming events. They are also recorded so that students who are unable to attend never have to miss out.
