Rao M Kashif Khan, MS MSc BCS FHEA Prince 2

As Dean of the School of Business at RCL, Rao M Kashif Khan’s responsibilities encompass overseeing academic and operational activities to ensure the successful delivery of programmes under RCL’s university partnerships. He manages resource allocation within the school and participates in management meetings to identify and address academic and operational needs for both staff and students.  

Kashif ensures that relevant policies and procedures set by RCL are consistently implemented to govern programme delivery. He works closely with university partnership teams, liaising on all academic and non-academic matters with the relevant staff. Additionally, Kashif conducts staff training and development sessions to ensure all team members are up to date with awarding organisation requirements, supporting effective teaching and learning. 

Kashif has been working in higher education for over 20 years. He has held various academic management positions with different awarding organisations, including university partnerships in the UK and overseas. He has worked for the world’s largest retail business and has successfully launched various multi-million-pound projects, including the launch of new business stores, and applied change management during the acquisition of other businesses.  

Kashif has worked as an External Qualification Reviewer for computing VQR qualifications for OTHM. He has undertaken consultancy roles to establish higher education divisions for various institutions in the UK. With a business family background, Kashif has developed entrepreneurial skills and owns a small family business.  

He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and an Associate Member of the British Computer Society (ABCS) and holds a PRINCE2 qualification for Project Management. Kashif has successfully achieved a first-class honours degree in computing and has two master’s degrees: an MSc in IT Management and an MSc in Innovative Technologies.
