Our enrichment sessions in April consisted of 6 SCOPE activities with 109 attendees in total!
For Personal and Professional Development, we held a Masterclass on ‘Pitching an Idea Internally at Work’. Students and staff discovered ways to express their ideas succinctly, found out how to influence people, and learned how to address their target audience. One student commented: ‘I love the practical knowledge and energy.’ It’s always great to hear positive feedback from our students. The workshops offer a great deal of knowledge that you can gain outside of a classroom.
Our final well-being workshop of the term focused on strategies and tips for dealing with low moods. Student feedback was positive, with one student saying: ‘During every session, I felt loved and special!’. It’s incredibly important to look after your mental health, our well-being workshops are designed to help you take a breather from everyday life.
We also ran fitness and yoga sessions which give our students a chance to take a break and revitalize.
In our Thinking into Character Study Circle sessions, we discussed compassion, communication, and kindness and shared our ideas on what success looks like.
On Saturday 30th April, we also organised a fundraising event to raise funds for the Ukraine crisis. Staff and students from RCL took part in either a 5 or 10K walk/run through the world-renowned Hyde Park. It was a successful event that was enjoyed by all. We wanted to thank all those who took part in the fundraiser, including the volunteers who took time out of their weekend to help. As the crisis in Ukraine unfortunately continues, we hope that the money raised will help provide aid to those who desperately need it.
