Stephen James is a veteran, teacher, and entrepreneur with a profound passion for educational reform. His distinguished career in British Military Intelligence, serving in the British Army’s Intelligence Corps, has seen him excel in strategic communications, digital security, information operations, and intelligence analysis. This extensive experience in intelligence collection and dissemination has equipped Stephen with the expertise to lead high-impact digital strategies effectively.
Stephen holds a BA (Hons) in Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), is a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE), and has earned a National Professional Qualification (NPQ) in Leadership from UCL. He is a published author and has provided commentary on a variety of topics for BBC Radio 4, BBC 1, ITV, Sky News, and LBC, as well as in print media.
He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures & Commerce (FRSA). His commitment to education and teaching excellence has been recognised with the Kent Teacher of the Year awards in 2018 and 2021. Additionally, Stephen was honoured as the Alumni of the Year – Community Hero 2023 by Canterbury Christ Church University for his significant contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly for co-founding the Invicta National Academy.
