Head of school of Health and Sports Science

Dr. Morris Anglin

Dr Morris Anglin has brought over 20 years working in public health and pharmacy in the USA to the role of Head of School. He has a strong interest in Environmental Public Health and Health and Social Care. His PhD research focused on Environmental Epidemiology; Environmental Cardiology; Patho-physiological mechanisms of cardiac effects and cardiovascular susceptibility. He has worked in the Higher Education sector in the UK for over 15 years. He joined Regent College London as Director of Studies in April 2019 and progressed to the role of Head of School of Health and Sports Science leading the academic operations for (University of Bolton, Buckinghamshire University, St Mary’s University and Pearson awarding bodies). Student satisfaction and staff continuous professional development has been one of his major priorities.  The school has seen measurable growth since joining and especially responded to the impact of Covid 19 and the need to train health care practitioners. Prior to joining Regent College, he was the Head of Health and Social Care for another private provider for 5 years in which he led a successful department.

Prior to that, he worked at the Yale School of Medicine conducting research in Epidemiology and Public Health. He achieved his doctorate from Newcastle University. He achieved his Master of Science in Public Health at Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Louisiana, USA, summa cum laude. He achieved his doctorate from Newcastle University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health

What I like most about the Regent philosophy is giving access to non-traditional students to develop academic and interpersonal skills to achieve their qualifications to pursue postgraduate studies as well as gaining employment in the Health and Sports sector.

Within the community, he is an active leader serving on community advisory boards to raise an awareness of the importance of education in underprivileged communities.  He is an active marathon runner as well as an ardent tennis and golf player and loves classical music.
