Students and staff at our Harrow Campus had an opportunity to learn what mindfulness is and try some mindfulness techniques including mindful breathing and anchoring. Students were made aware that mindfulness is not about not thinking it is about becoming aware of what you are thinking about. Mark Howell and Amyas Doulton, therapists from the Harrow branch of CNWL Talking Therapies Services explained how students can access more information about mindfulness and gave advice to start practicing it regularly to enhance positive thinking and improve their wellbeing.
At the end of the workshop students were given tips where to find more information about mindfulness and how to access further help.
Students are looking forward to the next workshop which will take place in May.
