Dr Tricia Tikasingh has over 20 years’ experience as an academic leader. She has held senior roles in higher education, including Head of Programmes, Head of Subject, and Lead for Academic Quality and Standards, Academic Partnerships, Flexible Learning, and Teaching and Learning.
She has also worked with the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) on the Health Studies subject benchmark statement, the Quality Code review, and as an external reviewer for higher education providers. This broad experience has shaped Tricia’s collaborative approach and her ability to work effectively across different disciplines.
As Associate Provost, Tricia is passionate about supporting the professional growth of colleagues. She finds inspiration in mature students – listening to their stories, watching their confidence grow and seeing them overcome challenges to achieve their goals.
Her research interests include transformative learning, the use of technology in education, and sustainable development in teaching practice. Tricia is committed to embedding the values of sustainability, equality, diversity and inclusion into her work and leadership style.

- Managing more than 15 national and international partnerships from inception through to annual monitoring and review (UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Greece and Spain)
- Leading quality assurance and risk management across partnership provision
- Working closely with professional accreditation bodies in subjects including Psychology, Nursing and Midwifery, Social Work, Nutrition, Forensic Science, Early Years Education and Policing
