As Executive Dean (Teaching and Learning) at RCL, Louise Norris-Hunt is inspired by multilingual, multilevel classroom settings. She particularly enjoys English for Specific Purposes and has a keen interest in the cross-section between techniques and pedagogy for specific disciplines and general teaching techniques and theory.
Louise has over 15 years of experience in education, originally teaching English as a second language, before moving into English for Academic Purposes (EAP). She has managed a foundation year programme and a pre-master’s programme, and has trained teachers taking a Level 7 teaching qualification, both for online and in-person teaching.
Louise’s additional experience includes working for Cambridge Assessment, an international language testing organisation, as well as writing online EAP courses and running an admissions testing team within a UK university. Lousie’s work has taken her to Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan and Macau.
Louise’s qualifications include a Bachelor’s (Scottish MA) in English Literature from Edinburgh University and MA in Language Assessment from Lancaster University.
