Course Overview

Discover the dynamic world of marketing with our innovative, four-year BA (Hons) Marketing with Foundation Year programme. Through a combination of lectures, seminars, practical projects and real-world case studies, you will develop a deep understanding of marketing principles and their application in various contexts. 

The programme begins with a foundational year designed to build essential academic and study skills, ensuring that you are fully prepared for the rigorous demands of undergraduate study. During this year, you will explore key concepts in marketing, business and related disciplines, laying the groundwork for in-depth learning in subsequent years.  

Upon successful completion of the foundation year, you will progress to the core curriculum of the BA (Hons) Marketing programme. Over the next three years, you will delve into a diverse range of topics, including consumer behaviour, market research, digital marketing, branding and strategic marketing management.  

In addition to the core curriculum, our programme includes micro modules that highlight the interconnectedness of marketing and business. These specialised modules provide students with valuable insights into key areas such as finance, management, entrepreneurship and sustainability, enriching their understanding of how marketing functions within the broader business ecosystem.

Entry Requirements

Please note that entry to this course is subject to Buckinghamshire New University’s specific  general entry requirements and English language requirements: 

  • UCAS tariff points: 32-56 
  • IELTS Academic/IELTS for UKVI: 6.0 overall with minimum of 5.5 in all areas. 

 

If you do not meet the entry requirements you may still be invited for interview if you have relevant professional experience. In the event that you are invited for interview, you will be required to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and understanding for entry onto the course. 

Previous study, professional and / or vocational experiences may be recognised as the equivalent learning experience and permit exemption from studying certain modules in accordance with our accreditation of prior learning (APL) process. 

UCAS points: 32 (this can be made up from a range of level courses, for more information on the UCAS points for your qualification go to the UCAS tariff calculator) 

Students will also be asked to attend an academic interview. Suitability for entry to our programmes can be demonstrated in several ways and is not limited to academic qualifications alone and applicants who do not meet our published entry requirements are encouraged to contact recruitment and admissions for advice.
