Course Overview

The BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Top-up) course allows you to top-up your existing qualification to a full honors degree in just one year.

With a Top-up degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, you can progress to explore many fields within the engineering industry.

This engaging and flexible course draws key elements from several engineering disciplines to give you a wide-ranging, industry-informed program. During the 1-year qualification, you will learn the key principles of instrumentation and control, engineering electromagnetism, and renewable energies, amongst many other subject topics.

Delivered in partnership with the University of Bolton, you will also develop your employability as this is a key focus of this dynamic and flexible program. Entry Requirements

  • You are normally expected to have completed a relevant qualification at Level HE5, such as a Foundation Degree or HND, or professional qualification at an equivalent level.
  • If you are an international student, you must take a Secure English Language Test (SELT). You can only take a SELT with one of the following providers: IELTS SELT Consortium including UKVI Academic IELTS, LanguageCert, Pearson and PSI Services (UK) Ltd. Please see here for the minimum scores required for each. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
