As Head of Direct Student Recruitment at RCL, Shari Javani most enjoys the opportunity to connect people with life-changing educational experiences, as well as engaging with individuals from all over the world.
Shari values working with a great team who are driven, collaborative and committed to making a real difference. In addition, she enjoys the strategic side – using data, market insight and creativity to shape campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences and open doors for students who might not have otherwise considered those opportunities.

Career journey
Shari holds a Bachelor’s in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, and began her career working within the NHS. This experience gave her a strong foundation in analytical thinking and working in high-responsibility environments.
Shari soon moved into real estate as a Letting Agent, where she discovered her passion for client-facing roles and building relationships. From there, she transitioned into a role as an Account Executive, selling contract management software, where she developed her commercial awareness and sales skills.
Shari later joined Capita as a Senior Business Development Manager, a role that not only strengthened her strategic sales experience but also introduced her to the operational side of business delivery.
This sparked Shari’s interest in operations, leading her to take on the role of Head of Operations for a Church of England plant, where she was responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, strategy and growth initiatives.
