INTO International Foundation, leading to a Level 3 Diploma in International Foundation Studies – awarded by INTO Qualifications
Designed to equip students with the essential skills, knowledge and understanding needed for success in undergraduate studies.
Throughout the programme, students will become active learners, explore a variety of disciplines and develop their academic, collaborative, communication and critical-thinking skills.
Additionally, the programme enhances students’ confidence in communicating in English and fosters an appreciation for an alternative academic culture – both vital for international students to thrive in a different higher education system. What you’ll study
The programme comprises 120 credits over six to nine months and includes:
For students needing additional English support (IELTS < 6.5), the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) module builds language and academic confidence.
For students already at IELTS 6.5+, a Research Project with Skills Enhancement module helps you strengthen your academic writing and presentation skills.
Required for certain degree pathways: Advanced Mathematics, Core Mathematics and Data Handling.
Choose from a range of specialist modules, depending upon your chosen degree:

- Law and International Relations
How you’ll learn
- Small-group seminars, interactive workshops and practical sessions
- Assessment through a mix of coursework, exams, presentations and project work

Progression
Successful completion of the programme and meeting the required grades will allow you to progress into the first year of a relevant undergraduate degree, either in the UK or at partner institutions.

- Completed high school (Year 11 or equivalent)
- English language requirement: IELTS 5.5
- If your English level is below the minimum required, we also offer preparatory English courses.
