Guidance for students on future delivery

The safety and wellbeing of the Regent College London community is our highest priority and we continue to monitor the situation, adopting the advice from Public Health England, to ensure the welfare of our staff, students and visitors.

Regent College London is implementing a five stage system (similar to the Government’s alert system) that will define what studying at Regent College London will be like as we transition from the current situation to future learning and teaching. The stage that we are at will dictate which facilities and services will be open, and to what extent. As we have 5 sites across London (4 outer London campuses and one inner London campus), it may be that different sites are able to move to different levels and become COVID-secure at different stages. Your current decision to take up a course with us does not need to depend on the location of the campus for now. However, when the eventuality happens we will, as far as is possible, support the needs of the students and staff. This will also be done in a phased manner, so that if needed we can change behaviours, and take account of individual circumstances. Please note that sufficient notice will be given in the event that students are required to physically attend any of our campuses.

Regent College London – A holistic and safe learning experience powered by Regent Digital which takes account of our student typology and our London location

We are committed to delivering a holistic higher education experience in September 2020 by providing you with a clear message regarding how Regent Digital powered learning will operate. You will have opportunities to study and engage in person with our staff and other students in a Regent Digital environment. This information confirms how you will learn and be taught when you start your course with us in July & September 2020.

Face to face teaching – maintaining social distancing in a COVID- secure environment
Any face to face teaching on campus is likely to be in smaller groups where possible. Lectures that are suitable for the virtual environment will be delivered via Regent Digital.

Digital Teaching Delivery
Our online and any future on-campus delivery will utilise adaptive teaching and learning techniques while taking advantage of the state-of-the-art learning technologies, powered by Regent Digital. This will enable us to customise teaching, learning and personal tutoring to suit your individual learning needs. Our online learning tools are already tried and tested with our students and we provide materials and e-book and e-journal access to allow you to
learn in your own time outside the classroom.

Personal Tutoring and Student Services
When you join the Regent College London community, you are inducted and introduced to key staff within Student Services but also within the academic team including Directors of Studies, Programme Leaders or Cohort Leaders who will look after your academic journey and welfare. Any one-to-one sessions will be either on-campus or remotely via video call, depending on the stage each site is at for attendance. Our outstanding student services team
will also be accessible on-campus via our campus student experience champions and remotely by our wider Student Services Team depending on the specific need.

Social and Peer Learning Environments
We know that learning also takes place beyond the classrooms. That’s why we are also creating Regent Digital social learning zones for you to carry out group work, meet with other students, and make the most of higher education life.

*Regent College London is working to ensure that the current regulations that are in force are adhered to at all times, and that health and safety standards for dealing with the ongoing pandemic and Government advice are followed. Should this change as per Government, PHE and other regulatory guidelines, we will advise applicants and students as soon as possible. Regent College London remains committed to providing accessible learning and teaching for all our students and for those unable to attend on campus for reasons relating to COVID-19, alternative arrangements will be made.
