An NCUK preparatory (foundation) pathway is designed for international students who are looking to fast-track their level 3 studies (A-levels or I.B). International Foundation Year pathways:

We are pleased to offer two NCUK Foundation Year pathways to prepare international students for first year entry to undergraduate degree courses. By studying in small classes in a higher education environment with us, you will gain the confidence to succeed at your chosen university.

Both pathways are split between two semesters offering you the opportunity to study a range of subject specific modules in small, supportive classes. Our dedicated, expert tutors are here to help you succeed and prepare you for university study.

Business and Management pathway Read

This pathway is ideal if you are looking to pursue undergraduate study in a business-related subject such as International Business Management at top UK universities like Queen Mary University of London or University of Manchester.

Humanities pathway Read

Our humanities pathway is designed for students pursuing further studies in subjects such as, international relations, psychology, history, or journalism at top UK universities.

Entry Requirements These vary by country and are specific depending on where you have previously studied. Please refer to the country specific qualifications we accept.
IFY minimum English language level
  • September 2022: UKVI IELTS 5.0 with no subtest below 4.5
  • January 2023: UKVI IELTS 5.5 no subtest below 5.0
  • Minimum age requirements: 16 years of age on application, however students must turn 17 by the start date of the course.
  • Fees: September 2022 and January 2023 £12,450
Assessments  You will be assessed during the program in the following ways:

  • Regular coursework, including assignments, in class tests and report writing
  • Mid and end of course exams. Your tutors will help you prepare for these in advance.
