Regent College London gets A+ in student approval polls

Regent does it again, scoring its highest-ever marks in the National Student Survey

  • Overall Experience was 93%, up from 90% in 2021 and against a 76% sector average.
  • Quality of teaching, learning opportunities and management were areas that got the highest approval ratings.

Regent College London is celebrating after achieving a 93% overall approval rating in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2022. The report is a key indicator on student experience and a benchmark of higher education providers.

The NSS is a national voice for graduating students and more than 4.5 million took part. Students are able to provide an accurate reflection on what they really think about a provider, how they meet their expectations and where they can improve. The results, published on 6 July, put Regent College London significantly above the benchmark making it a leading provider of higher education in the UK.

The NSS is carried out each year on behalf of the Office for Students (OfS), which surveys views on key areas of learning such as: teaching experience, facilities and resources, learning opportunities and student representation.

Dr. Michael Pinfold, Director of Students at Regent College London, said: “This is fantastic news and I’m delighted with the overall response from the student body. It is the best reassurance that our approach is the right one and that our efforts to put the needs of the student first is working. Last year, we hit a 90% approval rating and to not only meet that target again but exceed it, tops all of our expectations. I would like to thank all of the academic and support teams at Regent College London for working with students, for their ongoing dedication and commitment to the students’ journeys.

The National Student Survey (NSS) is managed by the Office for Students (OfS) on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies – the Department for the Economy (Northern Ireland), the Scottish Funding Council and the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales. The survey provides information for prospective students and for stakeholders to support a high-quality learning experience.

The survey is delivered on behalf of the UK funding and regulatory bodies by: Ipsos MORI, which is administering the survey, Texuna Technologies, which will deliver the NSS Results Portal for providers.
