Paul Williams has over 25 years’ experience in Further and Higher Education in both public and private sector institutions where he has established himself as an inspirational, enthused and enterprising academic leader.
In addition to overseeing the development of academic portfolios, UK and international collaborations and income-generating activities within higher education settings, he has particular expertise in strategic leadership, promoting academic quality, educational gain and an enhanced student experience. He also has extensive external examining experience with universities and professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Paul has chaired, co-ordinated or been a panel member on more than fifty school/university and external institution quality reviews and validation panels in universities and colleges across the UK and overseas in countries He has also contributed to the Quality Assurance Agency’s subject working groups, and was funded by the British Council to help develop curriculum and pedagogy aimed at embedding employability into postgraduate business programmes in India.
Prior to taking up the post of Deputy Provost, Paul joined Regent College as Academic Director to lead academic accreditations including the acquisition of New Degree Awarding Powers to strengthen its profile in line with its vision to become the UK’s first truly local London University with a global focus.
