Miss Vivian Oviasehi

Vivian Oviasehi is a lecturer of Business and holds a master’s degree in international human resources management from the University of East London, United Kingdom. She has 14 years of experience lecturing in both the FE and HE sector, lecturing Business management and related courses from other discipline. She recently joined Regent College London in 2022 as a lecturer and academic assessor in the school of Business and Enterprise and has being working alongside senior management to enhance teaching and learning and improve the students learning experience. Vivian has extensive experience in teaching and assessment, she is a certified assessor as well as in teaching in the lifelong learning sector with experience in the delivery of both online and traditional classroom setting. Her teaching philosophy is driven by a genuine passion to provide students with a supportive, interactive, dialogical, and real-life view of theory and to challenge their existing views and stimulate their critical thinking.

Vivian has a passion for research. Her interests include HR issues and business strategic issues. She has research ageing population in the context of UK labour market and have also carried out preliminary research on the role of commonwealth for member states. She has particular interest in online delivery and is currently developing research in the successful use of online tools in online delivery.

This ongoing research is aimed to offer more insights to tutors and institutions enabling a more collaborative effort to enhancing students learning experience in a contemporary world of education. With her interest in business strategy, she took part in a competition organised by KPMG as a team leader for a mini school competition on developing a strategic business plan for a bus company. She has also supervised students and taken part in local projects including annual Bexley Eco Festival. Vivian’s future ambition is to be a renown scholar and is currently working towards gaining her PHD and the development of research materials that will benefit immensely to many scholars, lecturers, institutions and staff and the wider student community. She wants to grow a community of students that is well grinded in theory and practice and eager to confidently challenge views through critical analytical thinking.

• International marketing management (IMA7001) – This module discusses the challenges faced by business managers in the development of international marketing strategies when considering moving into a new international/global market, It equips students with the knowledge and understanding required to be able to meet these challenges and develop an appropriate strategic plan for the business when intending to move into a global market.

• Business Environment (BMP4003) – This module covers the micro and macro economies and how they impact on the business environment in a given economy/country.

• Contemporary issues in marketing (BMP4004) – The module develops students knowledge and understanding of the marketing processes and importance of digital marketing tools in a contemporary marketing.
