Dr. Rameses Manalang

Rameses is currently a Programme Leader for Level 6 (Business Management) of the University of Bolton programme. Previously, he also briefly held the post of Level 6 Programme Leader for Buckinghamshire New University and University of Northampton programmes. He has over 12 years of combined lecturing and tutoring experiences in the UK and overseas. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from Cardiff Metropolitan University, with a specialism in Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour.

 

Prior to completing his doctoral studies and re-joining academia, he worked as a researcher for London-based international firm Finaccord (now part of the Aon Group) for over six years. Working with a multilingual team of researchers, he was involved in B2B research projects about markets in Western Europe (UK and Ireland), North America (US and Canada), Australia, South Africa, Asia (India, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines), and GCC nations. Rameses attained an MSc in International Human Resource Management from Royal Holloway, University of London.

 

He also worked in HR (training and recruitment) for several years in retail and manufacturing. He has held an active membership with the CIPD in the UK since 2011, where he served as a mentor for a year under its mentoring scheme.

His research interests include workplace wellbeing programmes as initiatives in strategic human resource management (HRM), with an organisational learning lens in designing, implementing, and sustaining these initiatives. Rameses presented developmental papers about his research during the 2015 Organisational Learning & Knowledge Conference in Milan, Italy, as well as the annual conferences of the British Academy of Management in the UK.

 

He served as a reviewer for the 2015 and 2017 conferences of the British Academy of Management.
