David is a strategic education leader with over 20 years experience in higher education. He has worked in both the public and private sector and led different academic and professional departments. His expertise is in working across institutions with a broad and detailed knowledge of education in both a home and international context. He has led learning and teaching teams, international education, academic and professional staff in both face-to-face and virtual environments. He has experience in supporting institutions in gaining and keeping degree awarding powers, Ofsted inspections, UKVI and British Council inspections.
He has a Masters in Applied Linguistics, postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching and is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Outside of work he enjoys playing tennis, travelling and cooking for family and friends.
