David is a strategic education leader with over 25 years of experience in higher education. He has worked in both the public and private sectors, leading both academic and professional departments and holding several senior appointments. His expertise spans strategic and operational levels across institutions, with a comprehensive knowledge of education in both domestic and international contexts.
David has successfully led large learning and teaching teams, international education initiatives, and academic and professional staff in both face-to-face and virtual environments. His experience includes supporting institutions in obtaining and maintaining degree-awarding powers, and leading OFS visits, Ofsted inspections, as well as UKVI and British Council inspections. A strong advocate for widening access to education, David is committed to creating inclusive and equitable educational opportunities.
