Sonia obtained a BA (Hons) in Housing Management and Development from the University of Westminster in 1996 and continued her studies at the London School of Economics where she successfully completed an MSc in Social Policy in 1998.

Sonia has over 20 years teaching experience teaching Health and Social Care and Housing studies and is the Senior Lecturer London South Bank University. Prior to embarking on an educational career, Sonia had extensive experience providing legal advice in terms homelessness, tenancy matters, disrepairs.

Sonia has also undertaken a range of consultancy work within the social housing sector, where she  has devised bespoke courses for local authorities, housing associations and other social housing providers.

At Regents College London Sonia convenes and delivers a range of Health and Social care units drawing upon a range of teaching strategies through  in class lectures, tutorials  seminars,  and experiential learning. Additionally, she actively works to improve levels of student retention and progression by facilitating on-going support and formative feedback to enhance the academic skills and abilities of students.
