Sahar is a seasoned expert in Islamic Banking with over 20 years banking experience. She has an MSc degree from the exclusive London School of Economics. She is also a highly certified banker, holding qualifications from esteemed industry regulators, CIM and CeFA.
She has international experience with several leading banks in the UK and Egypt. Was Bank Manager and Private Bank manager for Islamic Bank of Britain-IBB. She had leadership roles at prominent establishments such as Barclays.
Sahar works as senior consultant and Board Advisor for few Islamic Finance Consultancy. She had established the Islamic Finance department at LSBF eleven years ago. She has developed the MBA program for Plymouth University. She has carried a lot of research in the field and supervised over 100 researches. Worked as an associate Lecture for Wales University, University of Lancashire, London Metropolitan, Lincoln and University of East Anglia. She also teaches Finance and Islamic Finance for the Italian University Uninettuno. She has worked as an advisor with different British institutions to establish Islamic Finance department and Management training.
Saha was an advisor for a French company issuing green Sukuk and was appointed to create awareness about the sovereign Sukuk of Senegal. She was involved in the IF training of SFD (an Egyptian government body) in Egypt.
She is currently working on a research and white paper about Islamic Finance as a tool of development, with the Ramphel institute to be presented to the commonwealth finance minsters in October in New York.
She has chaired and organised many conferences and written articles about Finance, Islamic Finance, Egypt and Africa.
