Senior Lecturer, Associate Academic Assessor
Nastaran has been an academic for more than a decade and what inspires her at work is playing her part in ensuring students are engaged, inspired and have a great learning experience.
Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer at London Metropolitan University. Prior to that, she worked as Associate Professor of Marketing and Fashion Management and as Programme Director of Luxury Brand Management at Richmond the American University in London and also as an Associate lecturer in Business and Management at Birkbeck College, Regent College London and Hult Business School.
Her main research interests are in multi-sensory marketing, fashion and luxury branding, influencers marketing, sustainable business and ethical marketing, neuro marketing, contemporary issues of luxury marketing and firms’ strategy in industrial clusters.
She is a Senior Fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA) and she obtained a degree certificate in UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.
She holds an External Examiner HEA Certificate and she is an external examiner in a few local and international higher education institutions.
Her recent publications include two book chapters: ‘Unexpected Players in Branding and Advertising’ was published in ‘Contemporary Issues in Sustainable Branding’ ‘(Routledge-2020) and ‘Digital Environment and User Experience Effects On Customers’ Perception of Luxury Brands and Co-creation of Brand Value’ was published in Building Corporate Identity, Image and Reputation in the Digital Era‘ (Routledge-2020)
She has spoken in various international conferences on issues surrounding fashion and luxury branding and marketing. She is a board member and editor in EUSER (European Centre for Science, Education and Research), European Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies.
