Associate Academic Assessor
Hasnain has a proven track record of successful teaching in Higher Education. He has designed and delivered many Business Management, Social Science, Study Skills and Research Methods modules.
After gaining an MA in International Studies (Goldsmiths, University of London), Hasnain worked for several years as a Lecturer in Combined Studies at Havering College. In 2012, he gained a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education.
In 2015 Hasnain achieved the status of “Fellow” of The Higher Education Academy, and went on to a position of Advanced Practitioner for Higher Education in Newham University Centre. As an advanced practitioner he has devised and delivered staff development sessions related to teaching and learning. He has also contributed to the professional development of students through coaching, mentoring and providing advice and guidance.
Before coming to the University of Reading, Hasnain also worked at the University of Greenwich as a lecturer in Sociology & Research Methods, and as an external examiner for the University of Cambridge, CIE.
Hasnain has extensive experience of working with students from a wide range of backgrounds and capabilities. He has an active interest in current developments in learning, teaching and the student experience.
