Andrew Doig has worked in many aspects of education: as a teacher, a lecturer, a manager, as an educational developer, an instructional designer, director and vice president of academic services. He began his career teaching English as a foreign language and worked in the UK, Turkey, Korea, Australia and Hong Kong. On returning to the UK, he spent time as an Instructional Developer and Lecturer at Solent University, earning the title of Associate Professor for his research into the online student learning experience. While at Solent Andrew’s work became focussed on online distance learning, leading to his positions as Director for Academic Services with Wiley, and Vice President of Academic Services at Higher Ed Partners. Andrew is currently an education consultant working with UK and EU Universities on developing effective online courses.
