External Validation

At Regent College London, we are proud to have our courses and teaching validating by highly regarded organisations such as QAA, Pearson and NSS. We work to our upmost best to provide students with high quality teaching and to be recognised for our efforts is a great honour.

NSS (The National Student Survey 2021)

The 2021 National Student Survey (NSS), carried out by Texunatech on behalf of the Office for Students, surveyed over 4 million students in the UK about their higher education experience. Students were asked about a variety of factors, including the teaching on their courses, learning opportunities and resources, academic support and feedback, the university community, their students’ union and student representation, along with their overall satisfaction with the quality of their course.

Regent College London achieved an Overall Satisfaction score of 90% placing the College in the top 14% of higher education providers surveyed.

Furthermore, Regent College London not only improved on its results from the previous year, but, it also exceeded the sector wide score in all 9 themes (the teaching on my course, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources, learning community, student voice and the student union).

Pearson, is a well-known and well respected operator in the education sector. Its BTEC qualifications provide a more practical, real-world approach to learning and skills development alongside a key theoretical background in comparison with traditional academic qualifications. Regent College London is currently operating the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business with a number of specialised pathways.

The College is currently inspected by Pearson twice per year, once via Academic Management Review (AMR), and once via the Standards Verification (SV) process.

Quality Assurance Agency (QAA)

The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) works to safeguard quality and standards in UK universities and colleges, so that students have the best possible learning experience. QAA conducts reviews of institutions and publishes reports detailing the findings. At present the QAA only inspects where requested to do so by the Office for Students.

However, previous to 2019, the QAA inspected all providers and as an ‘alternative provider’ within the higher education sector, the College was subject to QAA’s Higher Education Review (Alternative Providers) (HER (AP)) process which was designed for institutions which provide higher education in collaboration with an awarding body.

Regent College London underwent a full review by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in September 2016. Please click here to read the final report.

Regent College London then underwent a monitoring visit in 2017 from which it received a Commendable outcome. The report is available here. It submitted an annual return in September 2018 that demonstrated that it was continuing to maintain academic standards and enhance the quality of student learning opportunities and information about learning opportunities.

UK Visas

Regent College London is a UKVI Licensed Student Sponsor which means it can sponsor international students who wish to enter the UK for educational reasons. Our Sponsor License Number is GXN1JH48X.

We have held the sponsor status for a number of years. This status recognises sponsors who show a good history of compliance with their sponsor duties.

This means that we are approved by the UK government to accept international students (non UK and non-EU) onto our programmes of study and grant them a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies to facilitate the student’s visa application.
