Regent College London and San Marino forge new educational partnership pathways

In a pivotal move towards international educational collaboration, Regent College London (RCL) had the honour of hosting a delegation from the Republic of San Marino, including the Secretary of State for Education, on Thursday 4th April 2024 at its Holborn campus. 

The meeting highlighted San Marino’s ambitious plans to significantly enhance the global competencies of their citizens through innovative education strategies. The delegation was particularly impressed by RCL’s pioneering blended, synchronous delivery model, which merges online and face-to-face learning to optimise educational engagement and outcomes. This approach, designed to prepare students for the challenges of a globalised economy, positions RCL as a leader in adapting to the evolving educational landscape.

The Rt. Hon. Sir Gavin Williamson MP, former Secretary of State for Education, who also attended, underscored the importance of the meeting, saying:

“Today’s visit by the San Marino delegation marks a significant moment for educational dialogue across borders. It provides a splendid showcase of Regent College London’s commitment to innovative education methods. The college’s pioneering approach, which blends synchronous online and face-to-face learning, is a prime example of how UK institutions are leading the way in adapting to the evolving demands of global education.”

David Donnarumma, Provost of Regent College London, remarked:

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing a firm commitment to raising educational standards and foster an active exchange of knowledge, cultures, and resources. This educational collaboration is poised to initiate numerous projects, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, and shared online educational platforms, all aimed at realising the ambitious goals of the San Marino delegation for their citizens.
