It is a proven fact that paying more attention to the present moment – to your own thoughts and feelings, and to the world around you – can improve your mental wellbeing. Students and staff at our London Campus had an opportunity to learn more about mindfulness and try some mindfulness techniques including meditation, mindful breathing and concentration. The idea of mindfulness sparkled an interesting discussion about the origin of the thought and who controls us: mind or body. Students were made aware that mindfulness is not about not thinking it is about becoming aware of what you are thinking about.
At the end of the workshop students were given tips on where to find more information about mindfulness and how to access further help.
