Course Overview
Our one-year conversion programme is ideal for graduates from other fields who wish to pursue a career in psychology. It provides a comprehensive foundation in psychology, covering key areas and research methods.
You will acquire a solid grounding in psychological theories and practices, while developing the ability to conduct research, analyse data and apply psychological knowledge in various settings. This programme prepares students for further professional training or careers in psychology.

Entry Requirements
You should have an Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
Applications will also be considered where appropriate work experience can be demonstrated in lieu of, or in addition to, the published academic qualifications in line with the University’s Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) procedures.
You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.
If English isn’t your first language you will also need IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band (or equivalent). We also accept a range of other English language qualifications.
If you are an international student, you must take a Secure English Language Test (SELT). You can only take a SELT with one of the following providers: IELTS SELT Consortium including UKVI Academic IELTS, LanguageCert, Pearson and PSI Services (UK) Ltd. Please see here for the minimum scores required for each.
