Alix Poulton, Registrar, Regent College London has been appointed as the Co-Chair of the Independent Higher Education (IHE) Student Data Forum.
IHE is the UK’s representative body for independent providers of higher education, professional training and pathways. They work to promote, support and enhance the independent tertiary education sector, lobbying for positive reforms to the regulatory and operating environment, work to share good practice and raise standards in the sector, and help members to overcome challenges to succeed in the market.
The IHE’s networks and forums are the principal means by which they engage members in the development of policy and the sharing of good practice. Each network has two co-chairs appointed for terms of two years. These co-chairs are between them responsible for chairing meetings of the network, agreeing the agenda for each meeting and facilitating any programmes of work in coordination with the IHE secretariat.
The Student Data Forum is for those with responsibility for handling student data and often includes direct presentations and discussion forums with colleagues from HESA and other key student regulatory bodies.
